Chapter 115 The secret must not be revealed
After leaving Fuyang City, Xue Lan first went to check out the surrounding terrain.
The area surrounding Fuyang City was filled with freshly harvested wheat fields. Perhaps sensing the overwhelming demonic energy emanating from the direction of Luoxia Mountain, there were no field mice eating the scattered grains in these newly harvested fields.
No field mice? No problem, we have Xue Lan.
Xue Tong thought to herself.
Xue Lan was squatting on the edge of a wheat field, holding a piece of wheat she had picked up from the field, separating the light husk from the grain. Xue Lan then put the grain directly into her mouth and chewed it.
Xue Tong was speechless: [You really eat everything? Are you planning to be a field mouse in your next life?]
Xue Lan slowly stood up and looked at the Golden Tuo Formation of Fuyang City not far away: "I feel a lot of pressure right now."
Xue Tong: [Where is the pressure coming from?]
Xue Lan rubbed the grains off the wheat ears and scattered them on the ground: "It's just that Xiao Wu is healthy and without any injuries or illnesses, but I think it's a bit difficult to handle."
Xue Tong didn't even want to complain about her anymore: [If you thought it was difficult, then don't agree to it. Now you're in a bind.]
He even rolled his eyes at the end, his tone dripping with sarcasm.
Xue Lan said with a grin, "She's been in the Xuanhuang Sect for so long, it's rare for her to make a request."
The girl swayed and flew towards the Jiangyun Sect on a cloud, and Xue Tong realized that she hadn't taken him with her.
"[Did you forget something?]" Xue Tong immediately transmitted his voice.
Xue Lan's somewhat irritating voice came through: "I know you can travel a thousand miles a day, but I'm afraid I won't be able to get out of Jiangyun Sect for a while. Could you go and pick up those two little ones for me?"
Xue Tong wanted to say, "Can't you have any humanity?" but Xue Lan had already vanished without a trace.
The protective array of Jiangyun Sect has been activated, and the sect appears somewhat deserted. He Xusheng, carrying an ancient book, walks towards Min Chang's cave.
Min Chang's cave dwelling is located in the latter half of Jiangyun Valley. At the entrance of the cave dwelling is a large grove of osmanthus trees in full bloom, a golden expanse that exudes an alluring fragrance.
Min Shang stood at the entrance of the cave, waiting for her with a gentle smile on her face. Her light blue dress made her look like a lotus flower that rose from the mud, untouched by its surroundings.
“Master, you don’t need to wait for me here. Xusheng can go in by herself.”
Min Shang looked at He Xusheng, who was so mature and composed at such a young age, and patted her head with a gentle smile.
"Master, come out and see the osmanthus flowers."
The master and apprentice were enjoying a tender moment when they suddenly saw a sharp sword light flash across the mountain in front of them.
Xue Lan felt that Zi Yun Dao Jun might actually have some connection with her senior master Dao Xuan Zi.
This habit of always grabbing a sword and chopping people up!
Xue Lan was cleaved down from the clouds by a sword and fell directly into the barrier of Jiangyun Valley. When she stood up, rubbing her waist, she saw Min Shang and He Xusheng rushing over.
"Xiaoxiao?" Min Chang looked at Xue Lan, her voice filled with surprise.
"Is the Xuanhuang Sect completely unable to control you now? You still managed to escape at such a critical moment."
Xue Lan looked at Min Shang, trying to change the subject. The girl then looked at He Xusheng, who was standing behind Min Shang, and asked, "I've seen this child before. Who is she now as a disciple?"
Min Shang pulled He Xusheng in front of her: "My disciple, Shengsheng, call him Martial Uncle."
He Xusheng obediently bowed to Xue Lan: "I have met my martial uncle before."
Xue Lan's expression was somewhat stiff. It was an ascension ceremony. Her seniority seemed to have increased considerably without her even realizing it.
"What are you doing at the front lines?" Min Shang didn't put aside her previous question, and the woman raised her hand to poke Xue Lan's shoulder.
Xue Lan began to spout nonsense with a straight face: "I observed the celestial phenomena last night and calculated that the Demon Clan would tear open a spacetime rift... and attack the Jiangyun Sect again."
Upon hearing Xue Lan's words, Min Shang's smile vanished.
"Sheng Sheng, go back to your cave and practice on your own."
He Xusheng obediently went back.
Min Chang watched her little apprentice disappear behind the vast expanse of greenery, and when she turned around, her expression was solemn.
How confident are you about what you're saying?
Xue Lan looked directly into Min Chang's eyes and slowly uttered two words: "Absolutely."
Xue Lan dared to say what others dared not say: the fact that the Demon Clan opened a spacetime rift in front of the Jiangyun Sect was an indisputable and established fact.
Min Chang's expression grew even more serious: "Come with me to see the sect leader."
Xue Lan followed Min Chang into Jiangyun Valley. After passing the winding stream in front of them, they saw a simple cave dwelling.
Min Chang stepped forward and knocked on the door: "Sect Master, Min Chang requests an audience."
Xue Lan looked at the plaque above the cave dwelling, which had been cut in half.
That sword strike from Daoist Ziyun just now even cleaved the plaque of his own cave dwelling!
The cave in front of them slowly opened, and Xue Lan followed Min Chang inside. Finally, she saw Daoist Ziyun and Daoist Shunhua Min Yao beside her on the edge of an underground river.
Min Yao smiled and looked at Xue Lan: "It's Xiao Xiao."
Xue Lan smiled brightly as the girl stepped forward and said, "Xue Lan greets Daoist Ziyun and Daoist Shunhua."
Daoist Ziyun spoke in a calm voice: "What brings you to go through all this trouble to escape from the Xuanhuang Sect?"
Xue Lan glanced at Min Shang beside her, and the understanding Senior Sister Min immediately stepped forward and repeated Xue Lan's previous words.
Shunhua Daojun's expression changed, and he looked at Ziyun Daojun beside him.
Daoist Ziyun appeared much calmer than Daoist Shunhua. She looked up at Xue Lan and asked for her thoughts: "You've traveled a long way to Luoxia Mountain, and then come to Jiangyun Valley to see me. Do you have any plans?"
Xue Lan was overjoyed and exchanged a few words with Daoist Ziyun via telepathy.
The Purple Cloud Daoist smiled and said, "Let's do as you say. It's time to teach the demons a lesson in Crimson Cloud Valley."
Xue Lan and Min Chang walked out of the cave of Daoist Ziyun.
"What exactly did you and the sect leader talk about?" Min Chang asked Xue Lan.
Xue Lan spoke mysteriously, "Heavenly secrets cannot be revealed. I will still need to rely on Senior Sister Min later. Right now, Xiaoxiao has to go see an old friend, so I'll take my leave first."
Xue Lan flew out of the territory of the Jiangyun Sect's protective array on a cloud, and soon received a telepathic message from Xue Tong.
I got the two little ones.
Xue Lan was curious about what she had received, but she only understood its meaning when it landed in front of Xue Tong.
Xue Tong had a bag on her back containing two pitiful-looking little spiders.
The two little creatures had used up all their spider silk in one night and now looked a little tired. But they did their best to curl up their bodies to prevent their claws from touching Xue Tong.
Looks pitiful.
Xue Lan tucked the two little creatures into her sleeve.
"What are we doing now?" Xue Tong asked, dropping the bag from his back.
Xue Lan looked in the direction of Luoxia Mountain.
"Go and recruit a genius in the field of array formations; it might come in handy."
So the two of them transformed into streaks of light and flew towards Mount Luoxia, continuing their journey toward Xue Lan's plan.
Everything seemed shrouded in the dark clouds of the moment, awaiting the dawn.
