Chapter 1922 - 469: Taking Advantage of a Loophole, Transferring Affection (Part 2)
Yun Ya murmured: "Such eyes, they are truly beautiful..."
Just then Zhang Huasheng pushed the door open, seeing the two with red eyes, he unconsciously frowned slightly.
Yun Ya leaned back against the head of the bed, speaking softly: "Master, where did you go?"
Zhang Huasheng touched his nose, "Went out for a walk."
Yun Ya looked at him with a smile: "Master, do you know that when you lie, you unconsciously touch your nose."
Zhang Huasheng paused, instinctively wanting to touch his nose, then realizing something, awkwardly withdrew his hand and smiled sheepishly: "Really? I didn’t know that."
Yun Ya gave him a deliberate look, then said with a smile, "Master, I understand your intentions, but don’t waste your energies on me."
"You silly girl, what are you talking about? You are the only disciple I have; I am counting on you to take care of me in my old age, or do you not plan to? That’s impossible, once a master, always a father; if you don’t take care of me, I’ll go to the streets and shout, letting everyone know you’re an unfilial student." Zhang Huasheng’s little mustache quivered.
Yun Ya laughed speechlessly: "Are you trying to ruin my reputation?"
"Hmph." Zhang Huasheng said proudly, "I am determined to rely on you."
Xiao Nan quietly retreated. Zhang Huasheng paced around the room, finally gritting his teeth, and turned to look at the girl flipping through a book, appearing very peaceful, so beautiful it seemed unreal, like something out of a painting.
"Master has a way to take you away, would you be willing to go with me?"
Yun Ya raised an eyebrow in surprise, given how tightly guarded this place is, not to mention the endless sea outside the island making escape impossible.
As if guessing what she was thinking, Zhang Huasheng straightened his back, pride coloring his features, "Don’t underestimate your master, I’m quite capable. Just say whether you want to leave with me."
Yun Ya smiled gently, "This den of wolves, I chose to step into it myself." Her words fell, and she slightly shook her head.
"I won’t leave."
"Yun Ya." Zhang Huasheng was hopping mad, almost pointing at her nose to scold: "You’re driving me insane; she’s crazy, are you going to follow suit? Evil has its own way to be dealt with; don’t risk yourself, it’s heart-wrenching for me to watch."
Yun Ya quietly looked at him for a second, those deep eyes made Zhang Huasheng unconsciously touch his own face.
"I am indeed a lunatic, so master, it’s useless to reason with a mad person."
Zhang Huasheng was fuming, glaring and puffing his cheeks, "You... you’re really making me mad." He spun around and slammed the door as he left.
Yun Ya closed her eyes briefly and let out a soft sigh.
Wu Hen raised an arm to block the visitor, expressionless as he said: "No unauthorized persons are allowed inside."
The visitor, nearly six foot three in height, stood there like a looming shadow, a formidable pressure emanated, yet Wu Hen remained unfazed, showing no fear.
"Heard that the Princess is sick, came especially to visit." The stern voice mixed with rare tenderness.
Wu Hen’s lips curled up into a cold smile, saying dryly: "The Princess is resting, not seeing outsiders, Young Master Lorde, please leave."
Lorde frowned slightly, glanced at the tightly shut door, just as he was about to turn and leave, the door suddenly opened, a rather delicate-looking maid stepped out, glanced at Wu Hen, her lips moved slightly, Lorde didn’t hear a sound, but he could read lips.
The maid said — the Princess invited him inside.
All the maids serving in this palace had their tongues cut out, turned into mutes, must say, that woman was ruthless enough.
Wu Hen furrowed his brows, coldly glanced at Lorde, clenched fists, eventually stepped aside.
Lorde glanced at him, adjusted his collar, and confidently walked inside.
Xiao Nan closed the room door and quietly waited at the entrance.
"Young Master Lorde."
The girl had a pale complexion but smiled gently, her pair of pitch-black eyes looking brightly like stars in the night sky, causing Lorde’s heart to seem as if it was struck.
He clenched his fist, suppressing the inexplicable impulse at his heart, and walked calmly to the bedside, standing a few steps away, raising his eyes to quietly look at her.
The girl smiled with curved brows, openly letting him gaze at her.
"Are you... okay?"
"Just a cold, nothing serious, but I promised you a meal, might have to postpone it."
"There will always be time to eat." The moment he spoke, he felt a bit annoyed, his mouth was truly too inept, couldn’t even speak right.
"Haha." The girl covered her mouth and laughed, looking at him with curved brows, "Haven’t you ever interacted with girls?"
Lorde pursed his lips, the tall man standing there seemed a bit at a loss.
He indeed hadn’t interacted with girls, this was the first time he spoke kindly to one. He remembered a subordinate in the military joking that he’d struggle with a wife later; his temperament really wouldn’t coax girls well, telling him to learn more then, only felt it was annoying back then, now regretting a bit...
"I...." The atmosphere turned a bit awkward.
Yun Ya said with a laugh: "It’s okay, I haven’t interacted with boys either, we’ll take it slow."
Just then, a gust of wind swept outside, raising the curtains high.
Yun Ya felt a bit cold, instinctively shrunk her neck, Lorde picked up the blanket from the sofa and draped it over Yun Ya.
"Take care not to get a cold again."
Yun Ya looked up and smiled at him, they were very close, so close that a lowered head met the girl’s fair and sweet features, his heart suddenly moved, he quietly took a step back.
Then the wind blew even stronger, Yun Ya glanced outside the window, her eyes were dark with indistinct emotions.
"It’s windy...." she murmured, smiling.
Lorde glanced outside the window wanted to say something but upon seeing the girl’s serene profile, swallowed all words.
For some reason, he suddenly felt a chill on his back.
"Take care and rest well, I’ll come to see you when I have time." He said, then turned and walked out.
Yun Ya smiled, the wind was too strong, blowing the blanket off her, Yun Ya gathered the blanket back and said with a smile, "Take care, Young Master Lorde."
Lorde’s tall figure soon disappeared from sight.
Xiao Nan came in, wondering how such a strong wind could blow, quickly ran to close the window, the weather forecast didn’t mention wind today?
Just then, Zhang Huasheng stormed in, blurting, "Did that Young Master come to see you?"
Yun Ya smiled and nodded: "Yes."
Zhang Huasheng stomped angrily, just as he was brewing medicine, giving others the opportunity to sneak in.
"Are you really determined to get married?"
"Young Master Lorde is wealthy and influential, both handsome and tall, with commendable military achievements, an ideal man desired by girls; marrying him seems beneficial, doesn’t it?" Yun Ya said with a smile hardly visible.
"Don’t try to deceive me with that, you have a fiancé."
Yun Ya raised an eyebrow, her pitch-black eyes glimmering with mysterious coldness, casually said: "Just assume I’ve had a change of heart."
"Clang." The vase placed in the corner suddenly fell to the ground, the precious antique vase shattered into pieces, the sound exceptionally clear in the quiet room.
Xiao Nan was startled, the window was closed, no wind, the vase was fine in the corner, how did it suddenly fall?
Really seems haunted!
A swift strange light flashed in Yun Ya’s eyes.
Zhang Huasheng was absorbed in Yun Ya’s change of heart, didn’t notice the vase anomaly, angrily said: "Don’t think you can fool me with just a few words, in comparing with master, you are still a bit inexperienced."
