Chapter 1511 The True Art of Destiny
Chapter 1511 The True Art of Destiny
Ye Feng had prepared all the necessary writing materials, waiting for Bai Ruoshui to reveal the method for cultivating Qi.
Bai Ruoshui, who had ignited the fire in his heart, was no longer in a hurry.
Bai Ruoshui said, "There's no rush regarding the cultivation formula for Qi Luck. Tell me about the Qi Luck cultivation techniques that are currently circulating in the mortal world. Why can't cultivators who cultivate Qi Luck live long lives? I want to know where the problem lies."
"Forehead……"
In the past, Ye Feng would not have been able to answer this question, but now he can.
Having spent so much time in the capital and studied under six Confucian sages, he has gained a great deal of understanding of the current Confucian methods of cultivating one's destiny through exposure to these sages.
Since Bai Ruoshui wanted to know where the problem lay in the Confucian cultivation techniques, Ye Feng told her everything he knew.
He talked about everything from the noble spirit cultivated by scholars to the fortune of the imperial court, and the fact that cultivating fortune does not lead to longevity.
Bai Ruoshui listened quietly, and only after Ye Feng finished speaking did she say, "I see."
"Miss Bai, how is the Qi cultivation method of Confucianism in the human world different from the Qi cultivation method passed down by your Baiwu clan in the past?"
"It's not that there's any difference, but rather... these are completely two different cultivation methods."
Today, Confucian scholars are not cultivating true fortune; they are cultivating a righteous spirit.
Is there any difference between the two?
"Of course there is a difference. Righteousness comes from one's own heart and life. Theoretically speaking, the more knowledge one has in one's heart and the more thoroughly one understands the rules of the universe, the stronger one's righteousness will be."
Fortune, on the other hand, cannot be cultivated on its own; rather, it is obtained from the faith of the people.
This is a special power that transcends true essence, spiritual power, and spiritual energy.
Therefore, the power of fortune is also known as the power of incense offerings, the power of faith, and the power of all living beings.
Confucianism merely uses its cultivated righteous energy as a medium to stimulate the collective power emanating from the hearts of ordinary people; it does not, in fact, integrate this collective power with itself.
"Ah? I see!"
Ye Feng understood what Bai Ruoshui meant.
It turns out that it's not that those who are blessed with good fortune cannot live long, but rather that those who cultivate righteous energy cannot live long.
Confucianism does not have a direct method for cultivating one's fortune. The Confucian patriarch was very clever; he found the righteous energy and used it to mobilize the power of all living beings.
No wonder I heard from our ancestors that the Confucian cultivation lineage had long been lost, and that the current Confucian cultivation techniques were only the tip of the iceberg of the Confucian cultivators at their peak.
It is estimated that Confucian cultivators once cultivated the fortune of all living beings, and what they lost was precisely the technique that allowed them to directly cultivate fortune.
Ye Feng couldn't help but recall the Confucian cultivation classic that Yan Rijing had left him.
Because he was worried that he would not live a long life after cultivating, Ye Feng never cultivated that classic text. Back when he was in the Sage's Tower, he gave the Confucian cultivation classic left by Yan Rijing to the head teacher of the academy.
Although Ye Feng had never cultivated, he had read that book many times. It seemed that it did not record a method for cultivating righteous energy, but rather a method for absorbing the power of fortune.
"No wonder that old man was overjoyed to receive Yan Rijing's cultivation method. It turns out I've been carrying the Qi cultivation method with me all this time, but I just gave it away. Luckily, my memory is still very good. I'll have to write it down from memory when I have some free time."
He thought to himself.
Only now did Ye Feng realize that the mental cultivation manual was actually a treasure.
So Ye Feng asked Bai Ruoshui, "I once read a passage about Qi cultivation techniques in a book left by an old Confucian scholar from more than ten thousand years ago. It seemed to involve a soul lamp or something like that?"
"It is the lamp of the heart."
"Yes, yes, the heart lamp."
Bai Ruoshui said, "The core of this method is the Heart Lamp. The practitioner lights a Heart Lamp in the sea of consciousness, using the incense offerings of all living beings as lamp oil and the power of faith as the flame. The flame illuminates the world and also nourishes oneself, tempering an immortal soul and body. This is the technique of governing the fortune of all living beings that those great beings cultivated in ancient times."
"Oh? I see! That sounds really advanced! I want to learn it, I want to learn it!"
"Aren't you afraid of shortening your lifespan now?"
"Shorten my lifespan? Even if it costs me a hundred years, I'll still learn it!"
Bai Ruoshui said, "In the past, many powerful figures in the human world cultivated the art of destiny. Later, those great powers gradually faded away, and this mental cultivation method was lost in the human world. During the heyday of the ancient witch clan, they obtained this mental cultivation method. Later, the ancient witch clan split into six, and the art of destiny cultivation fell into the hands of our white witch clan, becoming an important part of our white witch life witchcraft system. I am quite familiar with the art of destiny cultivation."
Since you really want to learn, then I will teach you.
The cultivation of the Qi of all beings is divided into seven levels: first, feeling; second, gathering fire; third, condensing the core; fourth, lighting the lamp; fifth, passing on the lamp; sixth, immortality; and seventh, becoming a saint.
Unlike what you just mentioned about the Confucianism that is practiced in the world today, the Confucianism cultivates a righteous spirit, and the core of its cultivation is to establish virtue, merit, and words, temper one's will, shoulder heavy responsibilities, and resonate with the power of destiny.
The core of our clan's inherited method of cultivating destiny lies in setting up images, establishing lineages, manifesting divine power, and granting wishes. It involves gathering faith, refining incense offerings, and nourishing the lamp of the heart.
Ye Feng nodded, seemingly understanding.
"I have already told you the core principles. Now I will teach you the seven key points of the Qi cultivation technique."
To receive offerings, one must first awaken one's spiritual awareness. Close your eyes, concentrate your mind, and listen attentively. In the midst of the vast darkness, feel the power of the will that floats between heaven and earth.
At first, it was like viewing flowers through mist or trying to grasp the moon's reflection in water. One could sense the thoughts of all people, whether praying for health and well-being, lamenting their suffering, or hoping for blessings, all lingering in the void.
The cultivator should use the mind as a mirror to see the chaos, yet remain unaffected and untainted, taking only that one thread of utmost sincerity and faith, and slowly guiding it into the spiritual realm.
Only then did I truly understand the taste of incense, like drinking pure dew, cleansing my mortal body for the first time.
Sit in oblivion and observe your mind; let your spirit roam the vast universe. The ocean of sentient beings' wishes is rippled by the first gentle waves. Guard your mind on the spiritual platform, focusing your thoughts like a string. Sincerity can guide you across, illuminating the true mystery. This is the essential formula for cultivating the first level of the state of perception.
The essence of the second stage of the Fire Gathering Realm mantra is to sense the power of thought and then build a lampstand. In the depths of the sea of consciousness, using divine will as bricks and wisdom light as tiles, a nine-inch spiritual platform is constructed.
The countless threads of incense smoke intertwine and gradually form the illusory image of a lamp. At this moment, one must circulate one's inner energy, eliminating impurities and refining distracting thoughts into pure intention, transforming the power of one's vows into divine oil.
Once the lamp is complete, although the light and shadow flicker and are uncertain, a seed of light has been planted in the heart, and the soul is bathed in its radiance, the five senses gradually become sharp, and the mind becomes clear and bright.
The spiritual platform is built from within, gathering wishes into a mighty river. Stripping away the threads of thought, refining the impurities into the pure. The lamp of the heart casts a illusory shadow, illuminating the first slumber of the spirit. With not a trace of darkness, it can reflect the vast universe…
……
In the seventh and even higher realm of the Transcendental Realm, the image of the Heart Lamp gradually fades, and the cultivator himself has transformed into the principles of faith.
Every gesture and movement subtly aligns with the law of the arising and ceasing of vows; every thought and intention can stir up tides of faith in the mortal world.
I am the lamp, and the lamp is the Way. When scattered, I become the smoke and fire offered by countless families; when gathered, I become a bright light illuminating the world.
Transcending the constraints of form and spirit, aligning with a certain concept of faith, one achieves an alternative form of immortality. However, this realm is extremely mysterious, with very few records from ancient times, existing only in deduction.
The body fades and the lamp disappears, the spirit unites with the true Tao. Scattered, it becomes myriad faiths; gathered, it becomes one revered one. With a thought, the tide rises; with a wish, the Dharma is fulfilled. Enduring through eternity, this is called immortality.
Young Master Ye, you must remember that in the way of offering incense, cause and effect are paramount. Accept the power of wishes without indulging in desires, and enjoy the offerings without forgetting your responsibilities.
Use the lamp as a guide to illuminate yourself and others; use your heart as a field to sow seeds and reap fruit. While selfish desires may be indulged, the great path must not be defied. Diligently cleanse the mirror of your mind, so that it may forever remain unblemished.
Remember, while this cultivation method contains the intention of achieving longevity, it cannot truly lead to eternal life. It's similar to the current cultivation methods for the primordial spirit, only increasing lifespan.
